Showcasing the Success of the York & North Yorkshire Strategic Development Fund
The Challenge
The York & North Yorkshire Strategic Development Fund was created by the Department of Education to help develop low-carbon skills at colleges and higher education providers across the region.
With the project coming to an end in March 2023, those involved wanted to celebrate the successes of the partnership and showcase what they had been able to achieve as a result of the funding.
With short timescales and the challenge of liaising with many different partners across the region, we were enlisted to organise the celebratory event and manage the logistics on the day.
Our solution
With a tight deadline to organise the event, we quickly secured a unique and iconic venue in the heart of York which attendees would love the opportunity to visit, the newly refurbished Guildhall.
We were also required to create a suite of collateral to promote the event and the Strategic Development Fund itself. We developed a tight brief and worked closely with our design partners to create a look and feel for event, including event invitations, presentation slides and, most importantly for the partners, a 24-page printed brochure designed to document the projects of each of the partners.
We managed communications with the different higher education partners to collate the required copy and images for the brochure, and to facilitate group presentations which took place at the event to showcase the various different low-carbon skills areas that had been developed at the colleges as a result of the funding.
On the day, our team welcomed delegates from across the region and managed the logistics and running of the event programme.
The Outcome
The event was a big success with partners from across the region and representatives from the education sector attending. The partners were able to showcase the work they had undertaken as a result of the Strategic Development Fund as well as share learnings and best practice with one another. Discussions about future funding and partnerships were also facilitated.
