Rachel founded Intandem Communications in 2002 and is very much the driving force behind the business. With a science background and wide ranging career including exporting British grain, and promoting a £500 million construction company, she has helped numerous large and small businesses across Yorkshire and the UK to grow and expand. With a deep understanding of the PR and marketing world, she uses her profound knowledge, extensive list of contacts and experience to provide an effective and unique approach, helping clients transform an idea into reality.

A well-respected figure in York, Rachel was awarded York Press Business Personality of the Year 2015. She is vice-Chair of York Against Cancer and a former chair of York Professionals. Rachel loves walking and cycling in the Yorkshire Wolds and is always up for any crazy outdoor challenges!

Alex has been part of the team since 2015 and now uses her expertise to support the team with the strategic planning of a client’s marketing and PR needs, helping to create a plan that will make their vision a reality.

Alex is also a key part of The Yorkshire Mark team, developing and delivering its strategy to champion Yorkshire Food and Drink across the region.

With a young daughter, horses and a (very small) flock of sheep, life outside of work is very busy and she is often found in the countryside covered in mud!

Lauren is a key member of our team having joined Intandem in 2019 after graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Journalism, Media and Cultural studies.

With excellent organisational skills and a sparkly personality, Lauren leads on our client accounts, helping to create and deliver strategies and campaigns which achieve fantastic results.

Georgie joined us in January 2022 with five years’ experience in branding and marketing in the FMCG sector where she has worked as part of an in-house marketing team and in a marketing agency.

Georgie takes the lead on client accounts, helping to develop strategies and to create and deliver content and campaigns which achieve tangible results.

Maisie graduated with a first-class degree in Fashion Marketing from Leeds Beckett University. She joined Intandem with a background in marketing and events in the financial recruitment sector.

Maisie will be supporting the wider team across client accounts to help co-ordinate and deliver creative social media and marketing content.

Issy joins us having graduated with a first-class degree in Marketing with Advertising Management from Leeds Beckett University.

Issy brings her bubbly personality and creativity to support the wider team helping to co-ordinate and deliver social media and marketing content. She also works as Membership Assistant for our Yorkshire Mark brand, helping to grow the Yorkshire Mark community and support members to showcase their provenance.
