Supporting the York & North Yorkshire LEP’s Business Summit

It was a pleasure to support York & North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership with their PR & social media in the run-up to and during the York & North Yorkshire Business Summit which took place at York Guildhall in October.

With a target of 200 delegates, from businesses from across York and North Yorkshire, we were tasked with generating registrations and promoting the event through press releases and a social media campaign.

Highlights of our PR campaign included securing two pieces of press coverage in the Yorkshire Post, both online and in print, with further coverage in The York Press and Bdaily. We also managed successful social media campaigns on LinkedIn and Twitter which generated registrations.

The summit brought together more than 200 leading regional organisations, businesses, and political leaders, from across the region, who able to hear more about the opportunities that both devolution and carbon reduction will bring to businesses in York and North Yorkshire.

The event was livestreamed and featured keynote speeches from Kevin Hollinrake, MP for Thirsk, and Malton as well as speakers from businesses across the region who shared their inspiring stories on how we can reduce our carbon footprint.

We really enjoyed being part of such a fantastic event and seeing many old and new faces from across the region. We are looking forward to continuing to work with the LEP to carry on the conversations around devolution and carbon reduction.
