Propelling York Against Cancer into the next decade with a new brand & communications strategy
York Against Cancer, one of York’s most respected local charities, needed to stand out in a crowded market dominated by major national and local health charities. The charity, which was about to celebrate its 30th anniversary year, had grown organically over time and its communications were a little out of date.
Our solution? Launch a new brand, website & cost-effective communications strategy
We brought together all stakeholders from across the Charity including employees, board members, patients, fundraisers and volunteers. Together, we developed a new brand and communications strategy to reflect the charity’s core values, community spirit and to show how it makes a difference to local people affected by cancer.
Launching the new brand positioned ‘York Against Cancer’ as a professional and valuable local charity, just in time for its 30th anniversary year.
The new, user-friendly website encouraged online donations for the first time and we developed a plan for more regular and cost effective communications with supporters.
Our work was the springboard for the 30th anniversary fundraising campaign which resulted in £100K of additional donations during the year.
