The Challenge

ISF is a York-based specialist engineering company that designs, manufactures and installs bespoke machinery for the UK’s animal feed milling industry. Already well-known and respected in its sector, ISF, one of the few privately owned businesses of its kind, came to us in 2013 wanting to stand out from the crowd and be recognised as a leader. The company needed a partner to sharpen its positioning and raise its profile with customers, prospects and future recruits, while staying true to its engineering roots.

Our Solution

Working closely with the ISF team, we started by defining the company’s positioning, values and key messages, capturing what sets the business apart in a traditional, relationship-driven sector. This shaped a rebrand and a new website that gave ISF a clearer, more confident identity, brand and website that have stood the test of time, still working hard for the company a decade on.

This foundation has fed into an ongoing marketing and social media plan across LinkedIn, Facebook, and the website, built around SEO-optimised monthly round-ups, project case studies and news articles rooted in real projects and the people behind them. We’ve since produced a brand video in partnership with Hewitt & Walker to bring ISF’s people, workshop and projects to life. We also support ISF with award entries that put its expertise in front of judges and wider industry audiences.

We continue to build ISF’s profile across all three channels, showcasing the people, projects and expertise behind a quietly brilliant Yorkshire business.
