Intandem manages PR launch of world class new laboratories

We were delighted to help ABS Laboratories launch their new state-of-the-art bioanalysis laboratory in York last month.

Acquired by US-based ACM Global, one of the largest global independent laboratories specialising in bioanalytical, toxicology and central lab testing, ABS Laboratories has recently relocated from London to join ACM’s 120+ strong team at their York-based European Headquarters.

The company has invested over £1 million to transform a 7,500 sq, ft. disused warehouse into a world-leading facility which will be used for analysing drugs including nicotine and other related compounds in saliva, urine and plasma for organisations which conduct preclinical and clinical trials to combat diseases.

Using our media contacts, we secured 10 articles in 8 different print and online media including the front cover of the region’s leading business newspaper, the Yorkshire Post Business Supplement as well as the York Press, The Business Desk.com, Business Insider and Business Quarter, reaching more than 1.1 million readers.

ABS has plans to expand the team in York in 2020 and with this investment comes great opportunity for the city and for the biosciences sector in the region.
