Flying high with Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta

It was a pleasure to support Events by Cynosure with their PR and Media Relations for Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta for the fifth year running.

We're so pleased that we secured live coverage on BBC News, ITV, BBC Radio York and further online coverage in The York Press, Yorkshire Live, Leeds Live, The Yorkshire Post, The Northern Echo and more publications, as well as organising media flights. The Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta was also the last news story for BBC Look North presenter Ian White - who left the BBC after 29 years on the day of the fiesta!

With mass balloon launches, funfairs, performances from Scouting for Girls, Craig Charles, and more, the event attracted 55,000 visitors over the weekend.

Our Account Manager Oliver Lamb got to experience his first hot air balloon flight and secured fantastic coverage mid-flight which was used by the BBC!

Next year the event will move from York Racecourse to a so far secret location in Yorkshire – we will keep you posted!
