North Yorkshire Water Park

Making a splash for a brand new visitor attraction

The challenge

A brand new water park and visitor attraction was being developed on the Dawnay Estate near Scarborough which needed to attract visitors and holiday makers from across Yorkshire and beyond.

What was our solution?

Working with the team, we created a new brand identity, website with online booking facility and developed advertising, leaflets, banners, vouchers and signage. Prior to launch we created a website ‘coming soon’ page and began a PR and social media campaign to build excitement.

The initial launch included a Press Day and an Exclusive VIP Event for winners of a regional radio station competition.

The media coverage before and during the season included live video, print and social media from the BBC, Yorkshire Post and other news outlets across the region.

The social media accounts, which we created and managed, generated a huge following with high levels of engagement. Fun and creative video and imagery were key to showing the energy, excitement and enjoyment at the Park and visitors were encouraged to leave reviews on Google and TripAdvisor to help with SEO and increase awareness.

Our working partnership with the Water Park has continued providing a consultancy and support role as it continues to expand.
