Hitting targets for Park Lodge Shooting School


What was the situation?

Park Lodge Shooting School in East Yorkshire opened an impressive new shooting lodge at its ground in April 2012. The owners, Tom and Sharon Bayston, contacted us just before the opening to help them promote the new facilities and effectively re-launch Park Lodge to clay shooters and to attract game shooters and local residents.

What was our solution?

Working closely with Tom and Sharon for four years, we developed a successful marketing and PR plan including a brand refresh to position Park Lodge as an exciting and welcoming venue with exceptional facilities. We identified the key messages to ensure consistency across all marketing materials and developed a successful advertising and PR plan including advertorials and competitions in local and regional media. We also helped with a website refresh, positive approach to social media and increased business development activity by promoting links with businesses and tourism organisations.  

What was the outcome?

Our strategy resulted in a 60% increase in bookings and a significant increase in awareness of Park Lodge within its target markets. Park Lodge also entered awards which saw them being named as a Finalist in the 2013 Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards and the Yorkshire Post Environmental Business of the Year.
