Love is in the air – Our favourite Valentine’s Day marketing campaigns
Whether you’re celebrating Valentines, Galentines or Singles Awareness Day this week, we’re sure there’s a Valentine’s Day campaign that’s resonated with you. Here’s some of our favourite Valentine’s Day campaigns that have got our team feeling the love over the years!
Spotify x Tinder
Whether you’re streaming cheesy love songs or break-up ballads, Spotify is essential for creating your Valentine’s Day soundtrack. Spotify collaborated with dating app Tinder on a playlist of love-themed songs and podcasts, helping customers to discover both new love interests and songs on the most romantic day of the year.
Calling all foodies! Forget red roses, Doritos offered an innovative twist on the classic Valentine’s Day gift with their ketchup-flavoured rose bouquets.
Frankie & Benny’s
American-Italian restaurant Frankie & Benny’s recreated dinner-date scenes from classic romantic movies like When Harry Met Sally and The Notebook. We love their recreation of the spaghetti scene from Disney’s Lady and the Tramp - It must be love if you share your food with your partner!
We’re all for sustainability and equality, and what better time than Valentine’s Day to show your love for Fairtrade practices? Offering a range of delicious gifts, Fairtrade encouraged consumers to share the love with the farmers behind their Fairtrade flowers and chocolates by signing a global, virtual Valentine’s Day card.
The Yorkshire Mark
We’re proud to showcase the talent of small, independent businesses within the Yorkshire food & drink community through our Yorkshire Mark brand. We’ve loved seeing the creativity and care that the #yorkshirefam have poured into their Valentine’s Day products this year, from Uniquely Local’s ‘Top 10 Romantic Experience Gift Ideas’ to Rudgate Brewery’s York Chocolate Stout, York Gin’s engraved bottles and so much more.
